Conversational and written Spanish for law enforcement personnel. Emphasis on basic sentence structure, pronunciation and vocabulary used in common job-related situations. Prerequisites: None.
Accelerated study of elementary Spanish for students with previous Spanish coursework. Includes basic Spanish grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and the study of the Spanish- speaking cultures. Emphasis on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in SPA101, or SPA101AA, or SPA115, or SPA115AA, or two years of high school Spanish, or permission of Department or Division. Completion of prerequisites within the last three years is required.

Review of grammar, continued development of Spanish language skills with continued study of the Spanish-speaking cultures. Prerequisites: A grade of "C" or better in SPA201, or permission of Department or Division. Completion of prerequisites within the last three years is required.
Designed for Spanish-speaking students. Emphasis on written composition, grammar review, punctuation and spelling, literature and conversation. May be taken in lieu of SPA201. Prerequisites: Permission of Instructor or Department Chair.

Analysis of Spanish and Spanish-American film as art form and as social commentary. Includes documentary, biography, and films based on works of literature. All films, coursework, class participation, and oral and written reports conducted in Spanish. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in SPA202 or permission of Department or Division. Completion of prerequisites within the last three years is required.
Analysis and critique of movies presented in the Spanish language and produced by cinematographers from Bolivia, Paraguay, Venezuela, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and the Mexican independent film producers. Includes documentary, biography, and works of literature and their film versions as art form and social commentary. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in SPA241, or permission of Department or Division. Completion of prerequisites within the last three years is required. Course Notes: All coursework, class participation, oral and written reports are in Spanish.

Graduated level of difficulty from the literature studied in SPA265. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in SPA265, or permission of Department or Division.
