Hands-on experience working in a college newsroom developing content as reporters, photographers, editors, and other roles on the student news team. Roles and responsibilities vary depending on student goals. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in JRN201 or [(ENG101 or ENG107) and permission of Program Director or Instructor]. Course Notes: JRN215 may be repeated for a total of nine (9) credit hours.

Emphasis on crafting stylized human interest stories for publications. Includes research, interviewing, writing techniques, editing and professional concerns.
