CLD110 / Amazon Web Services Cloud Foundations

Provides a detailed overview of cloud concepts, Amazon Web Services (AWS) core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. Intended for students who seek an overall understanding of cloud computing concepts, independent of specific technical roles. Helps to prepare students for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam. Prerequisites: None. CIS105 suggested but not required.

CLD120 / Amazon Web Services Cloud Architect Associate

Fundamentals of building IT infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Focus on how to optimize use of the AWS Cloud by understanding AWS services and best practices for the AWS Cloud and how they fit into cloud-based solutions. Covers design patterns for architecting optimal IT solutions on AWS, as well as strategies and services implemented on AWS. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in CLD110 or permission of Instructor.

CLD130 / Amazon Web Services Cloud Developing
3 Credits / 4.0 Periods for Lecture & Lab

Designed to provide technical knowledge and skills in cloud technology that can be developed with Amazon Web Services (AWS) software development kit (SDK). Focus on best practices for building and deploying secure applications in the AWS Cloud. Helps to prepare students for the AWS Certified Developer - Associate examination. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in CLD120 or equivalent AAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification. CLD110 and CNT140AB recommended. Course Notes: Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, C# (C-Sharp), is recommended.

CLD140 / Amazon Web Services Cloud Operations

Designed to provide technical information and skills required to implement automatable and repeatable deployments of networks and systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Describes specific AWS features and tools related to configuration and deployment. Emphasis on best practices in the AWS Cloud and recommended design patterns, problem-solving and troubleshooting. Helps prepare students for the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate exam. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in CLD120 or equivalent AAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification. CLD110 and CNT140AB recommended. Course Notes: Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, C# (C-Sharp), is recommended.
